Houston woman found guilty of killing boyfriend with stiletto heel

A Houston woman has been convicted of stabbing her boyfriend to death with a 5 1/2-
inch stiletto heel to his head and face. Prosecutors said Ana Trujillo slashed 59-year-old Alf Stefan Andersson with the sharp heel at least 25 times until he bled to death on his Houston condo's floor in June. The $1,500 navy blue heel which was ironically purchased by Andersonn for Trujillo, according to KHOU, was presented to the jury appearing blood-stained and even covered in hair last week. Trujillo had argued that the stabbing was in self defense after Andersson, a University of Houston professor and researcher, attacked her after a night of drinking.

Prosecutors said the couple began arguing when during their violent confrontation Andersson became injured and fell on his back. It was then Trujillo allegedly sat on him, pinning him to the floor, as she repeatedly struck him in the face with her spiked heel. Prosecutors pointed out that Trujillo did not have any injuries from her confrontation with Andersson, while the researcher had defensive wounds on his hands and wrists. Trujillo’s attorneys claimed that she did have injuries.

Ana Lilia Trujillo, 45, was convicted Tuesday in the stabbing death of her 59-year-old boyfriend with a stiletto heel.
The self-defense argument ultimately didn't win over a jury Tuesday. They deliberated for only two hours before making their decision. The 45-year-old, who faces up to life in prison, showed little emotional reaction when the jury's verdict was read. She had been out of jail on bond but was taken into custody after the guilty verdict. The jury will begin hearing evidence in the trial’s punishment phase Wednesday.
