A young man caught on camera callously kicking a cat for no reason in Brooklyn has
been arrested, according to police. Andre Robinson, 21, was seen luring the gray and white feline in front of a building on Fulton Street in Bed-Stuy last Friday.
When the cat gets close enough, the man kicks it, sending it flying into the air like a football into nearby bushes. After the devastating kick, the man laughs and dances on the sidewalk, as his friend behind the camera joins in.
Detectives have still not located the cat and a veterinarian said the animal likely sustained serious injuries from the kick. Robinson has been charged with aggravated animal cruelty. According to the Daily News, Robinson has eight prior arrests, including one for robbing someone at knife point.

The adoption center recommended that King’s adopter have previous cat-owning experience and that he live in a single-cat household with children over the age of 12. “King’s case reinforces the importance of reporting animal cruelty in a timely manner,” said Howard Lawrence, senior director of operations, ASPCA Humane Law Enforcement.
“It also illustrates the positive impact of animal welfare groups working closely with law enforcement, like the partnership between the ASPCA and the NYPD that helped King and brought his attacker to justice.” The video of 21-year-old Andre Robinson luring King in front of a building on Fulton Street in Bed-Stuy before kicking him was posted on Facebook. It went viral, sparking outrage and leading to his arrest on May 5. Robinson was arrested and charged with aggravated animal cruelty.
