Man Gets Stuck in Seattle Basketball Hoop, Cops Called SHARE Share Tweet Share Email Print Comment

Seattleites may still be distraught over losing their beloved SuperSonics to Oklahoma City seven years ago, but this is ridiculous. A man with a hammer but not much of a plan got stuck in a basketball hoop at a Seattle park on May Day — occasionally dangling from his foot.

A fire ladder truck and two firefighters were needed to cut him loose from the net. Police said Monday he won't be charged.
The weird incident not only yielded a gold-plated video. It also gave the Seattle Police Department's famously quirky PR crew an excuse to tweet this:
