"Fart with confidence": Company makes flatulence-proof pyjamas

First came underwear that claimed to eliminate flatulence, now a Loughborough-based store has released pyjamas it says will hold in natural smells.

The company's motto is "fart with confidence". It says the idea is to keep you and your partner happy by using special carbon technology. Shreddies, the company behind it, denies they are a novelty and says there is a science behind the clothes.

Teenager Tajudeen Azeez kills boy, 4 removes kidney, intestines

A team of homicide detectives attached to the Ijanikin Police Station in Lagos state has arrested a teenage boy, who allegedly murdered a four-year old boy and mutilated him afterwards.

The suspect, whose name was given as Tajudeen Azeez, is said to be a furniture apprentice and allegedly confessed to the crime, stating that he was sent by one Osan, a resident of the community.

“It’s Osan who lives behind Oto Awori palace that asked me to get human parts for him. Sincerely, Ibrahim (victim) did not offend me neither did his parents. I have known him since we moved into the area. “I used to play with him and bought biscuits and confectioneries for him. I removed his kidney and intestines. I buried the body at a nearby bush. It was residents who saw me that raised the alarm. I was later arrested,” the suspect reportedly said.

Meet Mr Brian Leonard Golightly Marshall who thinks he's Jesus

An Australian man believes the Shroud of Turin proves he is the second coming of Jesus Christ - and he says the Vatican is convinced, too. Brian Leonard Golightly Marshall lives in Toogoom,

Queensland, about 300 kilometres north of Brisbane, and claims to be the reincarnation of Jesus of Nazareth. The 71-year-old has published a number of images and videos he claims prove he is the image seen on the Shroud of Turin - a religious artifact that some believe bears the image of Jesus.

Mr Marshall has also recorded hundreds of videos where he preaches, in a heavy Australian accent while wearing a Hawaiian shirt, to his growing flock of followers. In the catalogue of bizarre videos and writings, he repeatedly mentions the scars on his hands and feet from where Jesus was nailed to the cross, while also declaring himself to be the 'most holy man' Sensationally, Mr Marshall also shared a letter he said was sent to his by Pope Benedict, which refers to him directly as 'Jesus Christ reincarnated'.

Four-legged snake ancestor 'dug burrows'

A 113-million-year-old fossil from Brazil is the first four-legged snake that scientists have ever seen. Several other fossil snakes have been found with hind limbs, but the new find is estimated to be a direct ancestor of modern snakes.

Its delicate arms and legs were not used for walking, but probably helped the creature to grab its prey. The fossil shows adaptations for burrowing, not swimming, strengthening the idea that snakes evolved on land. That debate is a long-running one among palaeontologists, and researchers say wiggle room is running out for the idea that snakes developed from marine reptiles.

Blind man John Opio 'snatches' another man's wife

This may sound hilarious but a 52-year-old blind man, John Opio, has been accused of snatching the wife of a 70-year-old man, Augustine Osupa, and has even fathered a child by the woman, Rose Atuko.

The funny incidence which happened in Kees village in Ngora subcounty, Ngira district of Uganda, sent police officers and other residents of the county into bouts of laughter when it was reported. According to Uganda News Vision, Osupa and Atuko had been married for 16 years and the marriage was blessed with 6 children before she abandoned home and moved in with blind Opio and their union was further cemented with the birth of a child who is now 3-years-old.

Man arrested for bringing Quran to church

A 25-year old man, Olagunju Waheed, who allegedly entered a church premises with a copy of the Holy Quran, is facing trial at a Yaba Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos. A resident of No. 8, Aje St., Sabo, Yaba, the accused is arraigned on a charge of breach of public peace.

The prosecutor, Insp. Nwosu George, told the court that the accused committed the offence on July 12 at about 80.00 a.m. at St. Dominic Catholic Church, Yaba. “The accused, armed with a copy of the Holy Quran, was found loitering at the church premises when a security guard approached him and asked what his mission was.

Ghost impregnates woman and vanishes

Residents of Atonsu, a surburb of Kumasi are in a state of shock, after realizing that a 42-year-old man, Nana Agyei who had been married to one Madam Mary Owus, 35, for 12 years with three children was a ghost. Mary Owusu is expecting another baby with her husband, who has mysteriously vanished from his home.


Nana Agyei, the suspected ghost is reported to have vanished into a thin air. In an interview with Mr Stephen Owusu, a brother of shocked Mary Owusu and in-law to the alleged ghost, he revealed that his sister went to church at Royal Chapel International at Abuakwa in the Atwima Mponua District,

Christian bakers fined for refusing to make wedding cake for lesbians

The owners of a mom and pop bakery have just learned there is a significant price to pay for following their religious beliefs. Aaron and Melissa Klein, the owners of Sweet Cakes By Melissa, have been ordered to pay $135,000 in damages to a lesbian couple after they refused to bake them a wedding cake in 2013.

The Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industry (BOLI) awarded $60,000 to Laurel Bowman-Cryer and $75,000 in damages to Rachel Bowman-Cryer for “emotional suffering.”
