A tragic father of the bride collapsed and died on the dance floor of his daughter's wedding reception, hours after he had walked her up the aisle. Nurse Andrew Hutchinson jailed for raping unconscious patients

A predatory hospital nurse who raped two patients while they were unconscious under general anaesthetic has been jailed for 18 years. Andrew Hutchinson, 29, molested two women at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford between 2011 and 2013.


The A&E nurse filmed the horrific attacks, storing them on a computer at his home alongside 'hundreds' of other indecent images. He has been jailed for 18 years following a trial at Oxford Crown Court where he admitted 25 other offences including voyeurism and outraging public decency. Earlier the court heard how officers discovered footage of the attacks on a mobile phone and computer at Hutchinson's home.

Toddler kills his own mum

A woman who fell to her death in an empty lift shaft is believed to have been pushed by her toddler son.

The crumpled body of Xie Hong Feng, 45, was found lying at the bottom of the shaft after she had been trying to find keys that she had dropped in a lift in the city of Ningbo in eastern China’s Zhejiang Province.

Building manager Yang Shao, 52, said: “She was taking some rubbish out but on the way down dropped her keys and she wanted me to help her get them. “I told her I would manually move the lift up one storey while keeping the door open so she could try and get her keys, which she had dropped in the narrow space between the lift and the 5th floor.

“I then went to see if she had found them but only saw her two-year-old boy standing there. “When I asked him where his mummy was he said he had pushed her. “I looked over the edge and saw her body lying at the bottom of the shaft. “I immediately grabbed him and phoned the police.”

 A police spokesman said: “Unfortunately there is no surveillance footage on that floor apart from inside the lifts so we have no way of really knowing what happened. “But if the boy says he pushed her then we will have to accept that, although we won’t be pressing charges as this was certainly an accident.”

 The woman’s husband was distraught. “The saddest thing is not only is my wife now dead, but my son is facing the prospect of having to bear the guilt of her death for the rest of his life,” Tang Hsieh, 50, said.

A young mother in Australia is fighting to recover from a virulent staph infection that threatened her life and left her partially paralyzed after borrowing a friend's makeup brush.

A heavily pregnant Jehovah’s Witness woman and her baby died after she was diagnosed with leukemia but refused a blood transfusion that would probably have saved both of their lives.

The 28-year-old was diagnosed with the cancer seven months into her pregnancy, and doctors told her she could give birth via a caesarean section and undergo chemotherapy but both would require her to have a blood transfusion. The Sydney woman refused both options due to her religious beliefs and her baby died in utero three days later.
